Bonkers day yesterday!

Yesterday was one of those days we just didn't stop laughing.
We went into Malaga and after a good walk round seeing the lights we went for lunch.
There was a real party atmosphere everywhere yesterday as there were lots of office parties being held.
The little restaurant we went was just so funny as the lady serving us had THE most miserable face I have ever clapped eyes on. She just had one of those scowly grumpy faces.
Anyway, we ordered two beers (in Spanish) but then, as normal, sat talking to each other in English.
We ordered another beer (in Spanish)
We then asked for the menu (in Spanish)
Back she comes to the table with a menu (in English)
We just fell about laughing.
Then, to add to the rapidly rising hysteria, the menu had been badly translated and some of the dishes had us in stitches:
Old cheese from Zamora
Pig's leg back in the oven
And my favourite...pate to the pepper with home made lard!!
I was in convulsions.
There was a party of 10 people at the next table who were so amused by us they asked us to join them..which we did!
Much red wine was consumed (not me, I had Mahou) and lots of sharing of platters of food.
It really was great fun.
We half staggered out of there and went shopping.
I caused much hilarity in H&M when I walked into the gents changing room to dry a dress on!
Bit more shopping where I picked up a fantastic t shirt. It has little shots of Marilyn Monroe from her films on the front and an absolute bargain for 6 euros!
Walking back to the bus station it dawned on us..we'd forgotten to go to Dunnes for the Christmas Crackers!
Back we go and get them.
Get back to Alhaurin and pop into Hairy Mary's for a couple of beers.
On to Mr Pepe's for a takeaway of campero and chips.
Get back home, into the kitchen, vodka each and bang on some Slade.
BOOM! Power cut! Black as black can be.
As our kitchen backs onto all the pine trees there are no lights which made it practically impossible to see anything.
The man of the house then pipes up. Worry no more dear, I'll get the torches and emergency portable lights.
Oh goody. Where are they? He can't remember! Oh baddy.
I then go a stumbling with the light from my phone to get a candle from the lounge then stumble back.
I then forage in a cupboard and find some tea lights and make a rather attractive table setting with it.
(Candles on a dinner plate!)
We eventually get round to eating..quite romantic really under the flickering candlelight.
(As all this is happening we are laughing the whole time. )
We eventually make it up to bed still with no power and everywhere totally black.
Woke up this morning to the sun streaming in the window..and feeling hungry!
And no wonder..half my campero and chips had been spilt all over the table and floor.
So just another day in my mad life then.
