Been thinking about it for a wee while.

Talked it over with the men in the house.

Talked to Leilani about it.

She agreed quite readily.

So we've both signed up and paid the registration fee.

1 -9 October 2015 Women V Cancer Cycle Africa

A 350km ride across Tanzania, starting in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro and finishing at the impressive Ngorongoro Crater, where there will be the option to do a safari. Along the way you will cycle through three national parks and experience the life and culture of the colourful Maasai tribe in their natural environment.

It will be a journey full of fun, friendship and incredible support as women of all ages and from all walks of life challenge themselves for an amazing cause. This fantastic challenge is a great opportunity to get fit, lose weight and have an experience of a life time all whilst raising significant funds to help in the fight against breast, ovarian and cervical cancers.

Funds raised by Women V Cancer will be divided equally between three important charities: Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action and used to support their valuable work.

Best get extra bike rides in with Herman the German!!!!

Oh gosh it sounds sexist but looking at all the details it's just for women.

I've already had a hoot with Leilani at her imagining herself in a pair of padded cycling shorts.

I woke up this morning thinking: I need to practise cycling with one hand and a having a camera in the other hand otherwise I'll get left behind cos I'll be too busy stopping to take photos!

Thanks all for your good wishes..I remember seeing Fern Britton doing a cycle thing in Egypt and thinking I'd like to do that.
