The saga of the ear ring. Part two.

Do you remember the saga of the ear ring earlier on this year?

L had begged and begged for about 3 years to get her ears pierced. I took her along, just before she was 11 and when she got there she was really nervous and it took her ages to get the first one done. Then she was too scared to get the other one done but desperately wanted it doing so we had to walk around town for 2 hours for her to decide. She eventually decided against it.

She kept the ear ring in for about 3 weeks and then decided she didn't like it and took it out.

I came home yesterday to find that she had managed to get the ear ring back in her ear! She had been trying for a few days apparently. All her friends at secondary school have ear rings!!!

Now she wants the other one doing. :x :x :x :x :x

Deb make sure she bathes that ear if she's had to force the ring in, warm salty water is good, water from the kettle ;)

Yes I remember too, fine as long as they don`t become infected and she does not wear too heavy ones. Some girls have piercings in all sorts of places, the mind boggles. :)

Deb I agree with Kaz, watch that ear carefully. I let mine almost close up then at one drunken Christmas party (I was 26 not 11 I hasten to add) my best friend forced the studs back in because I was moaning I wanted to wear them again. They were hell. They never healed properly, everything irritated them, they bled, they itched. Finally I gave up and took them out and allowed them to completely close up. A few years later I had them pierced again properly and they have been fine.

  Maybe make sure she has a pal with her when she gets the second one done ;) so the peer pressure can carry on doing it's job :D Kids eh!!
