Good morning Friday

Morning all. The wind has died right down here, thankfully.

It was very, very windy yesterday. I spent much of the adoption panel meeting watching the towering fern trees outside waving and bending. About five minutes after the meeting finished we heard a huge crack and a bang and a tree came crashing down very close to the building. As we were being evacuated to the main County Hall building another one came down.

Home today pottering around, waiting for the British Gas man to come. We have had no heat or hot water since Wednesday - the boiler is dripping and keeping the pressure down.

I am off to school this afternoon as it is the open afternoon so in my capacity of Chair of Govs I need to be around. We aren't actually expecting anyone (no one has rung to say they are coming anyway) so I shall spend a couple of hours catching up with the head and looking at policies that need updating.

Its their Christmas Fair after school and I was going to stay for it but I need to go and pick L up from school as they are off to my sisters for tea and then onto the local panto.

I'm currently waiting for a phone call from S's head of year. She left me a message yesterday to say that she had spoken to the girls and fed back to S but she would ring me this morning to update as she knew I wasn't available yesterday.

Good morning.

Quite nice here. :)

Don‘s gone into town to meetings at solicitors and the bank for his mum.

I‘m meeting him later to do some shopping and have lunch.

Then it‘s over to Ashley Lodge to see Joanie.

Then to Judi‘s.

Then back into town to meet our dear friends Gez and Sharon for drinks and eats at the Old Joint Stock.

Staying at Gez and Sharon‘s tonight as I want to visit Mr Patel‘s spice emporium in the morning. :P

Have a smashing day everyone.

:P

Morning Deb, morning everyone :)

Debih that sounds like a close call with those trees, glad all was well. I hope you get some answers today about the situation with S (((x)))

It was very windy here too, but nowhere near as bad as further north - we have a Severn flood warning alert but we should be ok here in Gloucester, and even so the part where we live didn't flood in 2007 so we'll be ok - we are higher here, thankfully :)

Going for another walk when I've done the few bits of ironing that need doing, Harry is coming tonight for the weekend :D :D :D

Have a good day everyone, take care all :) (((((x)))))

ETA Have a great day Ally, I hope Joanie is well, and you enjoy your visit to see her (((((x)))))

Morning :)
After a few really dull days it's lovely here this morning, bright blue sky and sunshine - I really don't care about the cold when it's like this :D
Debih hope your boiler gets sorted out, that's no fun this time of year. Do hope all is ok with S as well x
Ally enjoy your day :) Yaay Kaz Harry weekend :x :D
Not sure what I'm doing as Bb's work plan depends on phone calls but I might get the garden tidied up.
Hope everyone has a good day
Di

Good morning all, it's bright but chilly here today.

Not sure what to do today, Joe's cold is worse and he had a bad night so is off school again. He's currently in his 'jammies on the sofa with his duvet and pillow, watching Wall-E :) My cold's at the blocked ear stage now :o

Debbie, you had a close one there! I'm glad to see the wind has died down today, I hope Saundra is okay. I can never think which seaside town she's in but it looks like that coast took quite a battering so she's been on my mind.

Have a lovely weekend with Harry, Kaz! Will Becky be home for the Christmas holidays soon?

Enjoy the day everyone!

Good Morning all :D
Quite bright here and not so windy.
Part of our town got flooded--the houses down
by the creek got the worst of it.
They opened up the community hall for anyone needing
shelter for the night :D
Lovely surprise early this morning :D
Door bell rang and there was a lady with a big box in
her arms. It contained an enormous box of Thorntons Continental
Selection wrapped in pretty red gauze :D
It came from our niece and family in New Zealand with their love :P
A lovely way to start the day.
