Is it just me?

You're talking about putting decorations, trees up. Even my daughter has had her tree up for a week :o 8-)

I'll be putting out a few things around, even a small tree with a few glass baubles and fevvers on it, but not until about 4 days beforehand and they'll be taken down a few days afterwards too.

Is it because the sun is streaming through the windows and the sky is a lovely blue that makes us feel that it's not Christmas?

Or is it because there is just the two of us and his second name is Scrooge

I know what you mean Ton. :)

As we always go to the UK at this time of year (because it's a National holiday on the 6th and 8th it works out good timing) I don't put my tree up till about the 15th. :)

But always take it down on the 2nd January..which perplexes my friends as their Christmas Day proper is on January 6th.

Not just you no Ton :)
Next door put hers up at the weekend - there may be a lot of pestering when you have young children I suppose, but it seems far too early to me :o :?
Ours usually go up on the nearest convenient weekend, so I guess this year that would be the 15th or so, the next one would be a bit late :)

Well I was going to wait....but our close started looking very festive on Saturday so on Sunday I got out the new tree that I'd bought, just to see how it looked and how wide it was as I was wondering where it could go seeing as we'd moved the furniture around in the living room. It ended up being decorated. It looks lovely!!
The boys have their room trees decorated and there'll be one in the downstairs living room too but that won't be put up and decorated until a few days before and someone's here all of the time to watch Billy as he knocked it over last year while I was out

Apparently Oliver has said that it can only be Christmas if it snows - might be a bit disappointed ;)

Normally we would put ours up the week before, but as Michael is very aware of Christmas this year, we will put it up tomorrow week so he can help decorate it :)
