Good morning everybody.
Dull this morning but still warm considering it is now December. Going to bank and to get batteries for our smoke alarms. We have two, one on the landing and one in the hall. The one on the landing started beeping on Sunday so I have taken the batteries out of both of them.
Have got our winter fuel payments in our bank accounts--£300 as mrs.e is now 80. Also got a refund of £8.06 from my energy supplier--Co-op Energy. So there is some good news

Morning Saundra, Morning Cruiser :)

Not long woken up for the second time this morning - Mick's alarm went off at 4am and he was out of the house by half past, so the dogs and I went back to sleep :? He should be at Heathrow about to board his plane right now ;)

I'm going to have a quiet day, I was planning to stay in anyway with the dogs, once they've had a short run on the field, and I seem to have a sore throat so it might be for the best anyway! Need to be better so I can get this darned dental stuff out of the way tomorrow! :o

Hope everyone has a good day :) xx

Morning all :)

Up early as I'm expecting a client just after 9am, fingers crossed I get this done before the door bell goes.

Afterwards we're are planning an exciting trip to Tesco to stock up the freezer. A big delivery of all the heavy stuff is arriving tomorrow afternoon, but I prefer to get fresh/frozen things myself. The plan is we won't have to do another big shop before we go away in Jan, we can easily rely on the M&S down the road for day to day food between now and then. Of course it helps we won't actually be here for most of Christmas and New Year so don't need to buy all the usual festive food.

Managed to get a lovely big tree yesterday. We had to buy a new stand though as our old one was well past it's sell buy date, but they knocked £10 off if bought together so not too painful. It's much easier than our previous one too so the tree was up in record time. Now all we've got to do is decorate it, but there's no big rush. E's hips are playing up a bit in this colder weather so it's shopping today, loft tomorrow.

Hope your throat clears up soon kaz xxx

Wishing all VVer's a lovely day :)

jen x

Morning everyone

A beautiful blue sky, sun shining - lovely :D :D

Houseworkery stuff today - Grumpy has the great pleasure of cleaning out the chip pan (I hate doing that, although like the chips  8-) ) and he's doing the vacuuming - I do the rest ;)

Hope the sore throat doesn't c ome to anything Kaz - a friend is having the start of her implants today  which will be costing her 20,000

Hope you all have a good day, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.

Hope everyone is OK.

I'm feeling fine this morning. Had my annual check-up at the GPs yesterday afternoon, following
blood test at the hospital, and the middle-aged doctor couldn't find anything wrong with me, and
said I was the healthiest person in my age group that she had ever met.
:P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Can't be bad, can it ?

Have a nice day.

That's good news Aggers :P :P

Well that's all the houseworkery stuff I'm going to do today 8-)

Three lines of washing out, both bathrooms done, all the polishing (and it's three flights of stairs too  ) and the kitchen cupboards can wait for another day
