I wore my James Dean t shirt to work today.

My class of 7 year olds (particularly the girls) took a keen interest in said t shirt.

After a few mumbles and quite a bit of muttering I was asked the following...(in Spanish, but as the lingo doesn't translate funnies I will keep it in English. I found it funny..and made me feel my age! )

After the usual pleasantries:

Spokeswoman Belen:

We like your t shirt Profesora.

Me: Oh, thank you.

Belen: Can we ask you something?

Me: Of course.

Belen: Your t shirt..is it Justin Beiber?

Me: (keeping a straight face whilst thinking what????!!) Errr..no.

Belen: (After consulting with her 7 year old girls of the world classmates)..is it Justin Beiber's dad??!!

Me: (still keeping a straight face thinking what???????!!!!) Err..no.

Belen: Is it Justin Beiber's grandad???

Me: (Calculating very quickly..these kids are 7, I'm 52, this could be possible!! )

Belen: (After another consultation with said 7 year old worldly wise classmates)..who is it then Profesora?

Me: James Dean...(thinking new website: tooyoungtoeverappreciateJamesDean.com might be worth buying!)

Belen: Blank look.

Me: clapping hands in Miss Jean Brodie fashion..come on now children, let's concentrate on ordinals!

Especially at the idea that Justin's dad or granddad might be worth having on a t-shirt
Amongst others we bought eldest a Che Guevara t-shirt for his birthday.
