Don's gone out and it's usually him that takes pity on my hatred of this job and does it for me.

I've even cleaned the fridge to delay the inevitable.

Short of cutting the flex in half I just have to face facts.

I need to hoover.

I don't mind most things h-worky..but just can't stand hoovering.

I do believe vacuum cleaners and I lived a previous life together where all was not well on planet Alison. During my life I've broken countless hoovers..including one that was brand new, just out its box but I lifted it up by the wrong handles and it tumbled down 16 tiled stairs and lay in a smashed heap at the bottom!

Even the one we have now is a git as the cord keeps coiling round my legs!

I know how you feel Ali - but imagine how pleased you will be when it's all done I speak as someone who grasped that particular nettle this morning - Mr. Osc has done it quite a lot recently, sometimes even without being asked but he was busy doing lots of cooking for the freezer so I decided to step up. Now when I hoover I move furniture and do the edges (someone else doesn't ) and I'm now exhausted, sitting with a cuppa before hitting the shower. Incidentally I would never again buy a Henry - terrific suction but flipping awkward and heavy to move around.

I don't mind vacuuming all that much either. Because of the cat hair, I really should vacuum every day but I don't (esp during the week); so when I do it really makes such a difference.
I think my least favourite HW chore is washing dishes / cleaning a kitchen after cooking

My bête noir is ironing!!!! I'll tackle anything else houseworky with not exactly pleasure, but determination ( ), but ironing I really detest!!!!
