Watching the programme about Claridges...

They are covering the time of the London Olympics, and there were representatives of over 30 countries staying there, most rooms around £5,000 per night. I found it appalling that many of the countries named would be in receipt of foreign aid "donated" by the likes of you and me

I would like to take my wife there for a few days - if I could afford it (but I can't).

Oh that whole restaurant thing was ridiculous, Saundra, I've heard of that restaurant - pretentious nonsense, live ants indeed. The General Manager's face was a picture when he tasted one :x

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole three episodes :D but agree with everyone about how a place like Rwanda can afford to send so many people to stay there - must be all our money then?

I used to work in hotels - never quite as posh - so was fascinated by it all :)
