The Dog Has Affected My Social Life!!

Postby Ally » 16 Nov 2013, 21:24

It's true!!

We were at Paco's for his annual cook-a-thon which is always a blast but before we went we took Ollie for a walk. :D

We'd just got started on the route when...:

Don: Have you brought the poo bags?

Me: No, I thought you had them.

Don: No, you go back and get them then and I'll carry on.

So I did..but wasn't sure how many to take so opted for 6.
I then thought to myself oooh I don't fancy just using the bag I need some gloves.
Looked round the kitchen and spotted some Marigolds so off I went again.

Cue Don laughing when I finally catch him up.

Ollie does his business..after many pees..and I just can't do the picking up process.
Cue Don to the rescue.

We get home and it's feeding time.
Despite the dog food declaring on the tin it was a 'pate of chicken, turkey and vegetables' it sure as hell didn't smell like it. :?

Drama queen me scouts round for some sort of smell protector, spy a tea towel and make a mouth mask.

After fussing over Ollie (me that doesn't do dogs!!) off Don and I go to Paco's.

Despite being in the company of many friends Don and I found ourselves repeatedly seeking each other out and wondering how Ollie was doing! :o

7pm comes round and we decide to LEAVE THE HOOLEY EARLY and go and walk Ollie! :o :o

We must have looked like Derby and Joan walking arm in arm with the bleedin' dog trotting beside us as we took in the evening air.

I cannot believe I am actually:

a) Home by 10pm on a Saturday night.

b) Writing a post about a dog!!

c) So looking forward to seeing Ollie again in the morning.

Lol Ally I can understand all of that! :D
Believe me I still hate picking up poo in bags, have never minded too much in the garden with a scoop ;)
And tinned dog food, yeeuuuch!

Ally - take my advice. - We feed our dog on dry dog food only - and strictly none of our 'human food'
except for an occasional treat of a tiny bit of hard cheese. Dry food is good for his teeth and it has the
big advantage that his poo is firm and dry and easy to pick up. There's nothing to it. ;)

Aggers - I am following Ollie's parents instructions to the letter with regards to his food, water, treats, walks etc. :-P

I wouldn't dream of giving him anything other than what I have been instructed to. 8-) 8-)

Ally - I'm sorry, I thought you had adopted a dog.

I understand your comments now.
