Not had the best of days really - first up the credit card has been hacked! I tried to use it to buy my Christmas stamps in the PO (we always put all our Christmas stuff on the CC to keep track of it) but it was refused :? Thought that very odd but she said they'd had some probs with their card machines, so I shrugged it off and used the debit card instead. Ten minutes later I was in HMV when Mick rang, Barclaycard had rung him to tell him the card had been hacked for the second time since the summer! Only a small purchase - an O2 phone card in a different part of the country to any of our normal purchases - same as last time, which is what alerted them! Well done Barclaycard as it could have been much worse I guess! Our PayPal and Amazon accounts are linked to this card though, so it isn't the best time of year for it to be out of commission while we wait for replacements :( I am bidding on ebay for something at the moment, so I hope the new cards come soon :?

Also I was setting off door security alarms in every shop I went into! First Boots for some face cream, then Sainsbury's for milk, then Waterstones for a mooch. In Waterstones it went off as I went in, so I started explaining to the nice man rearranging the books on the table near the entrance about how I'd been doing that all day, and I thought it was a metal face compact in my bag.....he listened politely then informed me he didn't actually work there, he was just sorting through the books to find the one he wanted

Not been my day really

Oh heck Kaz, tomorrow will be better - it couldn't be much worse anyway could it?

It's awful about the credit card, you can be as cautious as you can be but these thieving gits still find a way around the security measures. Someone on my Facebook has been having problems today and put up a link saying that there's been a huge problem with hacking today with up to half a million people being affected.

LOL about the man in Waterstones though

Really trying not to laugh Kaz. The credit card business is a pain. But setting off security alarms and the man in Waterstones is plain funny!

LOL. Have a glass of wine and go to bed - tomorrow is another day.

Real pain about the credit card though, especially with it being linked to your Paypal account. Hope it gets sorted soon.

Oh blimey Kaz that is awful, although as you say could have been worse. I suppose the cc companies up their surveillance this time of year.

Very funny about the man in Waterstones though :D
