My Boss

My boss Michelle is one of the nicest people I have ever met.
When I went for my interview we hit it off absolutely immediately and she insists she's not my boss..she's very much included me in the running of the academy which has been lovely. :D

On Thursday I was halfway through a lesson when Colin (Michelle's husband) came into school to give Michelle the devastating news her dad had died at 7 o'clock that evening. :(

He'd died very, very suddenly at home, right in front of Michelle's mum. :(

There will be a post portem this morning. :(

The funeral home have told the family the funeral will probably be next Tuesday. :o

I went in to see Michelle at the academy yesterday and told her I would look after things there and be a stand in for her students that don't clash with my lessons.

I've also volunteered to go to her house morning and night to feed, water and walk her dog.
(Very brave as I'm generally very scared of dogs. ) but I've been assured Ollie the labrador is a sweetheart.

I probably won't be on much here for about the next ten days or until Michelle returns.

Ally x

What a dreadful shock for everyone Ally, the poor people.
You didn't say where her parents lived but presumably not very near.
She's lucky to have you but it's what you'd hope anyone would do isn't it.
Good luck with the dog - a labrador called Ollie is just bound to be fine

Her parents live in Shropshire Di so Michelle is flying over tomorrow and Colin is going at the weekend.

Thanks Cal. x

Oh Ally, that's very sad for poor Michelle, I'm so sorry :(

We will miss you, but I'm sure you will do a great job standing in for your friend!

Labs tend to be softies, I'm sure he will be ok.

Ally that is really kind of you and so very sad for Michelle. Its a nice way to go, but so very hard for those left behind.

Could I make a little suggestion? Would you be able to take someone with you, who is not scared of dogs the first time you go to feed Ollie. I am sure he is a softy, but he doesn't know you and he might bark and I would hate you to be frightened on your first visit. Once you have been once and introduced yourself he will be fine :D

oh how very sad for your friend Ally :( xx

She is no doubt very grateful for your kind help, and I agree with MM, don't go alone the first time until you have met the doggy, most labradors are lovely big softees, all the ones I have met are so friendly :)

*hugs*

Ah, just realised that her husband is still home, so presumably you can go the first time while he is there, to meet Ollie?
And maybe feed him too, that would make you a lifelong friend to most labradors ;)
