Good morning everyone
Wow! What a busy week it's been. I feel like my head has been spinning trying to keep up, but somehow I have, and managed to keep a threatening migraine at bay as well for the last 2 days.
We are having some drainage work done at the moment to stop the lake appearing in the rain. He was supposed to start in two weeks, but decided to instead start yesterday.
The plans for the deck replacement are all but signed off. Yay, no more splinters!
The cats had its surgery and is now in a cage in our bedroom recovering, and will be there for a week or so...
The guy came yesterday to look at the gutters, (instead of next week) and will be back in a few weeks to fix a few broken bits
Hubby has found a solar power scheme that's he's quite interested, but to do it means we need to crack on with the roof maintenance and insulating the cathedral ceiling as it will have to be accessed from the outside to out the insulation in, so they come tomorrow morning.
Had a couple of meeting with the new hippy coordinator, can't quite work out how she has the job, but anyway.....
And the window people arrive on Monday to fix a few broken window stays and rubber seals etc
Yet another shower guy came on Wednesday, only this one has already emailed his quote with two options, so we just need to decide which one, then we can get it in, and then get flooring down.
But the best thing is hubby managed to get the toilet in and working on Sunday morning!! Just in time for the annual Bathurst (car race) event at our house . We had about 30 people over. But I was more happy about it being in when Oliver decided to start vomiting at 5am on Tuesday morning. He has never thrown up before, but somehow (thankfully) ran to the closest (and newest) toilet. He did a repeat performance every 10 mins till 10am, and has been fine since. But I then had to clean the carpet in his bedroom, hall and lounge.
Er mm..... A few battles with the windy weather in there as well, but today was so nice we had a BBQ for dinner.
Well, that's my weekly wrap up. Time for a second beer I think.
