Eldest son has got a six months contract working near Leicester. As he lives in Tonbridge he is going to travel up on Monday and stay till Friday. Any body know of a good cheap hotel or other accommadtion in the area. Does not have to be in the city, a small town or village will do.

No idea sorry Cruiser, but how large is the company he's contracting for? Reason I ask is that many larger companies have an intranet and maybe he can advertise on there if anyone has a room to let or something similar? Or the company HR department - would they be able to recommend somewhere?

Another option is to contact the local university and ask if they have any flats that they haven't let out to students that they may be willing to rent out?
