Philippa Gregory

It was fab! She talked for about an hour - a kind of Q&A format with a host, and then it was thrown open for questions :) It was very interesting........

Loz she talked a little about Richard III as someone in the audience asked her views on where he should be buried - she was all for York, as is was the only city that really remained faithful to him.

There was a book signing afterwards in the Waterstone's tent - the Festival was set up in marquees on Montpelier Gardens - and as I'd taken my copy of The White Princess along I got it signed! She was very nice - I told her I agreed about Richard and York and she smiled and said yes but that she thought Leicester would get him, unfortunately ;)

Oh then as a Sunday Times subscription holder there was a tent offering freebie tea and coffee, so I went for one and somehow ended up at a tiny Q&A session with Kevin Maher, the ST film critic who has just written a book apparently! I had no idea who he was or what the book was called so kept very quiet - I'd only sat there to drink me cuppa!

It all sounds like a lovely visit Kaz :)
Glad you got your book signed, it must've been a weight to lug around!

Now you can drop into conversation 'Well, as Philippa Gregory said to me...' ;)
And even 'Well, as Kevin Maher said the other day...'

I have no idea who Philippa Gregory or Kevin Maher are, but I do know that York cannot be a 'who'; it has to be a 'which' or a 'that', depending on where you live - it's a city not a person. ;) :-P

Glad you enjoyed the day, though. 8-)
