I do too, and I really shouldn't because it winds me up as the majority of people look at me blankly :|

Its a lovely idea but it can lead to strange scenarios...................................! About a year ago I had parked in M & S car park, and went over to the paying machine. Another woman arrived at the same time as me and gave me a lovely smile - so I thought I recognised her and smiled back. She turned to me and said "how are you?" So I responded in the same vein and we had a lovely chat remarking it was along time since we had seen each other - oh we also hugged as well. Then, feeling on safe ground as I had "placed her" in my mind, I asked "How's Gerald?" She said "who is Gerald?" I replied "your husband". That's when it all fell apart as we realised we didn't know each other. I had felt she was someone I had known in my younger years (forgetting she would have aged more) and she was a beauty consultant and had thought I was one of her clients! I thought it was nice that as we parted she said "At least if I see you again - we will know each other!"

Cal, that's brilliant, ...... and do you know, exactly the same happened to Mrs O a few months back - we were in the shopping street of a local suburb and a lady stopped Mrs O and greeted her warmly .... Mrs O responded in kind, thinking she might have been a nursery school teacher she'd visited while working a few years back .... it all fell apart when the lady said something like "are you still going to the flower arranging group?"

Errr .... what flower arranging group ..

Transpired they were complete strangers ....
