One thing I really appreciate as it gets colder....

is that the heating comes on in the mornings which means the towels on the towel radiator are nice and warm when you get out the shower / bath

what's your favourite thing about the weather changing?

Ohhhhh that's lovely isn't it? Warm towels :D

I like when the leaves fall off the trees behind the houses opposite and I can see over the common better from our windows. Can't think of much else!

No heating on here yet - but the towel rail heats up when the hot water's on :)
Lots of things really.
The food - summer food's lovely too but it gets so I want a change; soups, stews, chilli, baked potatoes, mash, sausages with onion gravy... :D
The weather, when it's like this it's gorgeous, and that lovely clean, bright air :)
The leaves as they change colour.
Nights being cooler so I'm not too hot all the time
Days ditto lol, it's nice to be wearing jeans and a long-sleeved t-shirt and feel just right :)

I love those crisp clear days after an overnight frost when you can walk for hours in complete comfort.

We have not had any, as yet, but they could be on the way next week.

I'd like a heated towel rail, but we don't have one - so I usually drape my towel over the hot bathroom rad before I get in the shower

I like the cosy feel of the fire on, in the evening, and the soups and stews too - I am usually sick of salads by the end of September as we eat a LOT of them all summer

I also quite like being able to wear a nice coat 8-)

Its quite nice wearing a cosy fleece too - I bought a new very soft raspberry coloured one from M &S, I have only been able to wear it once as yet as its not cold enough, but it is snug and the colour brightens me up!

Our towel rail is always on - its the main form of heating in our ensuite.

This is my favourite time of they year. I like the summer and the long evenings but I love autumn.

I love the leaves falling from the trees; the colours - we are surrounded with so many wonderful trees that when I look out of the window I see loads of amazing shades of orange; going out for walks wrapped up in woolly jumpers, gloves, hats and boots; riding on crisp mornings; lighting the fire; closing the curtains against the dark evening and lighting the lamps to make the hous seem all snug and cosy; changing to thick fleecy pj's and my Ugg boot style slippers; baking lovely cookies so that when the girls get home from school the house smells lovely and they can cosy down with a cookie and hot chocolate; going out with the dog and getting soaked in a shower before coming home and getting all warm and dry; sitting on the window seat with a mug of steaming coffee watching the weather do its worst.

And best of all - changing to flanelette sheets (though it isn't cold enough to do that yet).
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!
