Where's my beer?

I ordered 16 bottles of a foreign lager and 4 bottles of wine on Sunday over t'interweb and it hasn't come yet.
Though obviously not alcohol dependent I've ordered the blinking stuff and i want it in the kitchen, not stuck in some warehouse somewhere. Three working days delivery? And the rest.. mutter, grumble, rhubarb...

That's a surprise!

According to the news we are having the wrong kind of frost for deliveries to take place.
I was betting on Monday, when it's supposed to warm up. :D

Yes Jo, I am having a little soiree on Saturday night!

WM, the delivery vans are up and down like nobody's business!

I can recommend EdFex (anagram!). The booze was despatched yesterday and got here today. Can't be bad.

We went to Asda. Mrs O stood next to a mountain of champagne priced at £10 a bottle, and looked beseeching. I went through the usual "We can't afford it - I'm teetotal - S won't want to drink it on Xmas day as she's driving etc etc" routine. Mrs O said "it's Christmas" and plonked a bottle firmly in the trolley.

4 ailses further on, I found a mountion of Asda's own speciality "Extra Special Non-Alcoholic White Grape and Elderflower Sparkly" priced at £2 a bottle. "Look", says the Ostrich, ladling armfuls of bottles into the trolley, "We can have 5 bottles of this for the price of that Brut. Shall I go put the Brut back, dearest?"

I was told, quite firmly, where to pop my cork .....

We did the same. If you bought six there was a 25% reduction. Got 18 altogether.
I am the delivery man!!
