Wine lovers for your eyes only

I have found rather pleasant - in fact, bluddy gorgeous - red wine.

Torre de Ferro, from the Dao region of the wine growing region here in Portugal.

This one is a D.O.C from 2010 and cost us the princely sum of 1.80

Due to lack of beer and the normal quaffing wine, I opened it before dinner - and it realy is superb.

If you can find it, buy it.

We're back to Lidl's on Wednesday and will buy a few more :kick:

Ooooh, must have a look at Lidl here to see if they brought some into the UK, but knowing our luck it'll set us back about £5.00

Enjoy it Ton :)

Go for anything with doc or reserva, and from about 3 years old, they really are really lovely.

A friend (French, ex wine grower) has told us which ones to look out for.

Here, if we get them for under 2 euros, they're okay. Over that, they're stil new - he said

There is a Lidl down the road in Featherstone. they're more likely to stock a fine White Lightning than a good red, though...
