Ooh I'm going to be in pictures!

I went for my physio appointment today and after my session the physio asked me if I wanted to see pictures of my operation
I of course said yes My plastic surgeon is using me and my op to train surgeons in finger joint replacement surgery.

The pictures were great, really clear and detailed photo's of the procedure I had. I have to say it was a bit gruesome seeing my finger in two halves while they removed the joint and then drilled a hole into either end of the finger before inserting the new joint Absolutely fascinating though and so clever. I'm glad I was asleep during the operation

A gynae surgeon who removed my ovarian cyst gave me the polaroid photos of my ovary with the huuuge cyst on it She thought I would be interested in seeing it

Oh and I donated 'extra' blood to Professor Homfry, Professor of Genetics at St George's for research purposes - I have a rare moscaicism (extra 'bits') on some of my chromosomes apparently

2 gert screws from the inside, 5 on the outside, keeping the plate attached ot the (well, what's left of) the ankle bone.
