I know I shouldn't really even be looking at the site...

because every time I do I read something that makes me very angry.... but just when did the Daily Fail become a US paper, :? Have I missed something? It just seems that of the "stories" now are all about things happening in the US, people in the US etc.

Definitely beyond time (and has been for some time) to find another news site that is informative but a bit more light-hearted if there is such a thing - which news sites do you look at?

Ria, I feel exactly the same about the BBC. It seems that every opportunity is taken to get the American view on all the big stories.... even British ones!

Sky news is even worse! 'Dog falls down drain in Des Moines' - that sort of thing.

Sorry, but I cannot offer a light-hearted alternative. My other sites are RT, Al Jazeera and Press TV and they are a bit staid.

We watch the local stuff - so at least we know what's going on over here.

They do some English stuff, can't remember them doing anything from America, apart from major stuff - and Grumpy watches French, Aussie, Al jazeera and other country news. We think we get a more "proper" view of what's going on.

I have noticed that too Ria. I don't often go on the DM site these days but when I do it is all about US 'slebs' many of which I have never heard of :?

Well, the current main headline in the DM News section relates to Papua New Guinea where a "cannibal cult leader who drank girls blood is hacked to death by villagers after escaping from a jail and murdering another woman".

You don't get that in Berkshire .....

I tend to look at the Guardian and the Telegraph news-sites on-line, which at least gives me some sort of a balanced view between left and right !!

And some UK ones as well - who are all these people :? Going on to the DM used to be a guilty pleasure but more and more I feel sick when I go there ;) ;) Maybe it's a kind of aversion therapy kicking in

It's not just me who doesn't know who these so-called 'slebs are then, UK or US!
