and the metal prop broke it had gone rusty so need to by another

Up early as I have a 9am appointment at the hospital to discuss my cataracts. Feeling very jittery as the last experience was really horrid. The consultant I saw that time also works at the main hospital, fingers crossed I don't see him again or I'll probably freak

A stroll down to the village later, for the usual losing lotto ticket and must take eldest grandsons birthday card to post, otherwise I'll be the bad granny

I'm back at the hospital again, but this time we are taking our son down for an op.

Good morning all. Its hot, hot, hot here and I hope it stays like that as we are off on our jollibobs for the weekend.

We are only going to Edale (about an hour from here). We are going with four other families from the village so in total 9 adults and 10 children and two dogs. We are staying in a camping barn - it is very basic but in the most fantastic setting. We will all have a bedroom each (bunk beds) and then share a bathroom, kitchen and lounge. The lounge area didnt look very comfy (my friend and I checked it out when it was L's riding birthday party as it is very close to the stables) but there is a lovely outdoor area with a bbq so fingers crossed we won't need to be inside much.

We are all taking a small tent as there is a paddock outside too and the owner said we could pitch tents so the kids can sleep outside if they want to.

This morning I will be packing and then we are hoping to set off around 1pm (if Mick is home from work) as I would like to be one of the first to get there to bagsy the best room.

So I won't be around as there is no mobile or internet signal!

I've just spent bast part of an hour grooming our dog, and I'm worn out now.
He just won't stand still, and does everything he can to frustrate my efforts.
But he looks a bit better now.

It's very hot and humid here, and I won't be doing much else this afternoon.
