Decided yesterday that I was going to take myself off to a fairly nearby shopping centre today for a few hours and just potter around, as Mr. Osc usually plays golf on Mondays (and Tuesdays....and Fridays.... and this week on Wednesday too....). Imagine my well-hidden dismay when he announced that his friend had cancelled out today, and maybe he would come with me However, he then decided that he would go to the golf club anyway and play a few holes on his own to see if he could sort out a problem with his golf trolley, phew!

I was on a bit of a mission to change some of my eye makeup, so started talking to the lovely girl on the Clinique counter in Boots, who offered to do my eyes for me, which was fun and relaxing and they turned out nice too. Then the lunch referred to on Rants thread, followed by a mooch in TK Maxx which produced two teeshirts, a light jumper, a nice little white blouse and a fancy shirt for himself. He got home before me and had had a nice time too, meeting up with one of his friends who is rather ill and enjoying a cuppa and chat with him. Ah the joys of retirement
