I'm too young for all this!!

Mr. Osc applied last month for a Transition Pension, which fills in the year before he reaches full state pension age in October of next year. That triggered forms being sent to us from Newcastle, to see if we can get a pension for the time we worked in London in the early 1970s. I've just been filling those out, struggling to remember where we both worked and lived in those years  I was interested to see that I have actually been qualified for a UK pension for almost 4 years :o surely I can't be that old :o I'm sure they get forms back that have lots of blanks, I've done my best with them so we shall see (all contributions gratefully received ;) )

He got three letters today from our Department of Social Protection, isn't that just a dreadful name  , one telling him his transition pension had been approved from his birthday in October, one asking for details of his employment in the UK, and one asking for details of any joint accounts/savings we may have, as the dependent adult payment (i.e. me) is apparently means tested  I'm usually pretty good at forms, but I'm feel a bit overwhelmed just now!

Forms nowadays are a complete nightmare Osc, I have some that require a lot of deep breaths and even then can only be approached in small doses.
I honestly don't know how people manage. You and I are, thankfully, pretty intelligent, but even for us it's quite an ordeal isn't it :?
