My town on tv (Sunday night)

This drama starts on Sunday night. I don`t know if I really fancy it
as it is very dark I think :(
I will watch it as it was filmed in and around my town of Faversham :)
The town council are cribbing already that people will liken it to the
Hungerford Massacre and will be put off visiting the town and it will
hit the tourist trade :o
I would have thought it would have the opposite effect and people will
visit just to see where it was filmed.
A lot was taken near us and the film crew stayed just down the road.
The only time I got annoyed was when they closed the main car park off
for the day for filming :)

Doesn't sound my sort of thing either Lissie but it might depend on what else is on :)
Councils always seem to moan don't they, but it did no harm for that one around Fugi's part of the world (name of programme temporarily forgotten, it got a bit boring!).
You're right, people do seem to want to visit the places they've filmed.

I have seen quite a lot of this already as the executive producer is one of our friends/neighbours - Pete Carlton (he was the one that won the BAFTA not long ago for his short film, The Swimmer). We watched it when we were at his one night a couple of weeks ago (the benefit of having a friend in the business - we get to see lots of Oscar nominated films before they are released on film as he gets them sent to him as part of the Oscar promotion stuff).

I found it very dark and pretty hard going! Although I didn't tell him that.

He always does pretty weird stuff - This is England, Four Lions, Looking for Eric, Last King of Scotland (although that was good rather than weird), some of the Playhouse Presents stuff for Sky plus loads of other stuff I can't remember.

He used to be high up in Film Four although I have never really understand what he actually does for a living, other than get us lots of dvd's to watch of films that haven't been released at the cinema yet!!!
