I'm off to a garden centre today with my MIL, I bought a very pretty tray covered in red poppies there a few weeks ago and they promised to order in two more for me, and we're going to pick them up and have a mooch

I'm always up, not always on here and never doing breakfast
We've had a little bit of rain again, not enough to water the garden. They're now promising us heavy downpours on Saturday.
Today I shall be getting a bit more h-word done, very boring.

We were having a lie-in reading As we go to bed late now - when it's a little cooler, we tend to wake up later

Another gorgeously sunny hot morning, nothing but blue skies

Not doing a lot today, I could clean down the outside of the kitchen cupboards, again I could clean the bathroom tiles, again but why should I, when it's only to give me something to do?

I'll read instead

And I'm going to try and emulate one of the meals we have down at the Capri - steak and mushrooms. They do the mushrooms in a sauce, so I'm having a go. Served with rice and chips with a small side salad

Hope Mr Jen is doing okay this morning and a hug for Jen too xx

I'm at work. I've had to come in today to make up my hours from being off on Tuesday for the leavers service. I didn't want to take it as a days holiday.

I'm only here until lunchtime though and then nipping into town before collecting the girls and dog from my mums and going shopping for supplies for L's birthday party tomorrow.

Just back from the morning walk in the park. It's dull here and trying to rain - and still blinking hot.

Not much planned for today - just a visit to my dentist this afternoon to collect my dentures which are having
another tooth added. I might have a nice steak this evening if I'm lucky. I'm fed up with soft food!
