Kitchen floors.
Are steam mops etc any good for cleaning them? Any side effects like peeling the veneer off the units? I'd rather not keep washing the kitchen floor on my hands and knees so it's time for technology to step forward!

I find mine less hassle than using a mop. It's in the utility room, in the space vacated by the old mop and bucket, and it's just a matter of filling the tanks, plugging it in, waiting a minute to warm up and it's ready to go, and the floors are drying as I'm mopping further up the kitchen. When the dog's in and out on wet days it's very useful.

My SIL has one and she swears by it.... I would get one for myself but the area I'd use it in most (kitchen and dining room) the laminate was so badly put down that it won't be steam proof

Cromwell, I would have thought your mangle would cause more damage to your laminate flooring than a steam mop ...
