We have a big jar of mixed change that is now full. Do banks still take change? I presume I have to get the little bags and bag it up, which is fine as long as when I get there they don't say 'sorry we don't do that anymore"

I do the same for The Boys and they bag it up and take it to the bank. Did it a couple of weeks ago so , yes they do

Lots of the supermarkets have Change machines in their lobby, thats where we get rid of all ours.

One alternative is those machines they have in Sainsbury's. You just chuck it all in and it counts it, takes off a small percentage and gives you a ticket that you produce at the checkout.

Don't they take a percentage for charity?

Not sure it is for charity to be honest. I used the one in Morrisons last time and yes it is handy, but they take 7% which is quite high. I would prefer to go to the bank and make my own donation to charity. Thank you I will get the bags and do it that way

Not so bad if you haven't that much, but our latest collect is well over £50, all in very small change. No way am I bagging that up and lugging it to the bank!

Shell, we bank with Barclays and they'll take it as long as it's correctly bagged up in their change bags. Not sure if you have to have an account with them because they always ask but maybe your own bank would take it.

I have just been to Morrisons, you can choose whether to give to charity or have a voucher, but that is all the money not a percentage. If you choose to have a voucher to take to the cash desk, they it charges 8.9%. As I have over £90 according to my jar, I am not giving them nearly £9 for nothing

The Boys used Lloyds too MM and one of them has their own money sorter thing and all those pennies and five penny pieces came to over £40.00 so worth the effort.
