Both my achilles hurt

Because I was dancing on Friday night. I managed 14 of the 18 dances over a 4 hour period. Although I was limping a bit at the end.

It was really good fun and also I got my breath back and was able to dance pretty well all night after the first dance. I was dreading how bad it might be because at our silver wedding and also at our friends birthday the next weekend, one dance all but finished me off.

Just goes to show exactly how ill I was the whole of September.

Although the fitness part is grist for the mill when I get to see the cardiologist. He's going to get a piece of my mind for sure...

However the pain was worth it. Several people we hadn't seen in over 2 years crossed the dance to give us hugs. It was really nice.

Suff it's lovely to hear you use the word fun without mentioning computers in the same sentence ;)

I have lots of fun without computers.

I enjoy walking, cycling and DIY as well as Scottish Country dancing.

However my lifestyle doesn't allow for a lot of "fun". It's mainly work and more work at home. Mrs S was having a go at me two weeks ago and I was complaining that I worked 7 days a week at someone else's beck and call. So "get off my case".

We have bought tickets for the Trad (invite only), in February and we will go to Freiburg at the end of Feb for their ball.

Now if we could only find time to get back on the Scottish Mountains it would be wonderful.

Computers are a tool, a means to an end and a way of talking with you all. Most of my work with computers, these days, revolves around my work or home media. Other than that I don't do a lot with them.

I enjoy lots of things for leisure. However my choices are currently limited.

Long past are the days when I accumulated over 70 Munro's or walked Mallaig to Montrose with Mrs S. I miss them but don't see them coming back any time soon.

Life's choices as they say...

Nowadays I spend far too much time researching stuff on the Internet and reading a broad range of books from classics to Science Fiction. However I'm working on my next hobby which is thinking stuff up and making it. That's a longer term project though.

Nice to see you made it back.

Thanks Kate,

It's now 5 days till we go to the Trad. My left Achilles is still playing hell but it getting better.

I start in Guildford on Monday and have to get the company stuff sorted (including a bank account). It's a bit of a roller coaster but I'm looking forward to Saturday night if not Sunday Morning.
