I am mortified....

I will be the first to admit that I'm not overly house proud and that my place can be a bit of a tip at the best of times - the joys of living on my own; no-one to mind except me. Esp the kitchen / dining area becomes a dumping ground for everything and on the weekend I usually blitz through and get it all back to ship shape and then it all starts again....
And oh dear - got a call this morning from my SIL to say she was not far from my place and would it be OK if she let herself in to use the loo? which of course isn't a problem - but she's a clean freak. I don't even want to know what she was thinking when she walked in and tripped over two boxes of stuff I'd ordered and collected yesterday; but not moved out the way (I'm not home, so no need until I get home this evening). Yesterday I made the most of the warmer weather and sat outside with my laptop, a glass of wine and some food until about 10pm; the house could wait (obviously not)!
oh dear oh dear oh dear
