Surprise Surprise,..

First may I thank every one for those loving birthday wishes. What a week end and an 80th it turned out to be, the amazing surprise created by Yasmin and David who produced that marvellous memory cake and the choir of hotel staff at the dinner ...they had arranged.
And yesterday I will never forget, Gus had said we were going to The Swan for dinner, I invited Marion my friend and my neighbour Helen to join us, and another friend from Help the Hero's who had arrived with flowers to wish me Happy Birthday, Marion who does for me once a week had changed her cleaning day from Friday with some excuse to yesterday.
Off we set with Gusty at the wheel, well I have never known anything like it, she drove from place to place, we landed up at The Harp having passed the Swan and my irritability beginning to show asking her what time we were supposed to be at The Swan that she then passed continuing to drive on and on.. To my amazement she then drove to our village, I saw the Z3 I had sold to a friend parked outside the pub and assumed we were going there. Onto my house where I saw the landlady of the Swan holding a box.. "What is Lynne doing here I asked" (I must be as thick as pudding!) I entered the house walked into the sitting room and the crowd of friends trooped through the door they had been hiding in the back garden, flowers presents, wonderful cards from those near and dear friends, balloons decorated the terrace and the food laid out was simply amazing Gus had been cooking for days preparing the feast and others brought lovely dishes with them.. I was literally speechless all this had been arranged successfully without my knowledge. It was wonderful hearing Gus and friends laughing, cards adorn every space. I am truly blessed and thank every one including all those lovely VV contributors for their loving good wishes.
"What a Birthday to be remembered" and the icing on the cake will be when I See you girls and boys on Tuesday
who will be at the meet.
