I have had my cataract op and am back home already
Daughter and SIL picked us up at 12 and we got to the hospital
for 12.30.
Nurse put more drops in my eye after i had already put some in
at home.
She then did BP (high again through nerves)
She then put local anesthetic drops in then iodine.
I went in theatre at 1pm and was home at 2pm
It was`nt painful at all but you could feel pressure.
Will have the other done in about 6 weeks.
Anyone waiting to have this done i would say don`t worry as
it is`nt painful.
Got to take things easy today then be sensible and use the drops
for the next 4 weeks then go back to opticians and have eye test.

Excellent Lissie! It really is quick and once your eye has settled down, and more so when you have had the other one done as well, you will be amazed at how bright colours are, and how 'sharp' things are again
