The building company arranged for someone to come from the plumbers who they contract to to replace an expansion tank in the airing cupboard which is very slightly leaking. The plumbers called me to arrange a time last Friday, it was booked in for tomorrow afternoon, sometime between Noon and 5pm. In the meantime I've arranged to meet a friend at the gym in the morning to give her some support as she doesn't like going alone so I'll be out until 11ish.

I've just, at 10.30pm, had an automated text from this company confirming our appointment for tomorrow AM between 8am and 12pm. I don't want to let E down at the last minute so if they catch me in after 11 then that's fine, otherwise I've got a moaning phone call to make

So annoying. Do you have original confirmation email or text?

I haven't Shell, it was all done over the phone and I specifically said that afternoons work better for me than mornings.

So....the Baxi man came just before 12.
He looked at what needed replacing and had the correct expansion vessel with him but didn't have the flexi metal hose which is also needed. After a few phonecalls he confirmed that his company doesn't supply that, the company who installed the whole system has that...so now it's been arranged that he'll leave the vessel here and the company who installed it are to come and fit it, along with the hose
Now I have to wait for them to call me to arrange another appointment...
