Have started putting them up. Got the lights round the front door and the window in the lounge. Still to get the rest of the decorations down from the loft.
Have tried the timers which are working correctly. Not a big light show like some people even in our small area of houses. But it will include a crib.

I'll be putting my normal very small amount of decs up in a couple of weeks. Don't bother with a tree, it's an old woolies one and I really don't know why we brought it over

Not sure when we'll be doing ours. More importantly, any Christmas cards we have are in the loft with the decorations, so Bb was going to go up there today. But he can't go shifting boxes at the moment, and I never can, so we're stuck!
Thing is, I can't remember if we've only got 3 or 4 cards, or whether I bought a whole new supply :D

My daughter came over about 5 years ago, just before Christmas, so we put the tree up together, quaffing champagne :D with a bright blue sky outside and she was wearing a t-shirt

Tonight, we have the fire going, I've got socks and slippers on as well as a t-shirt and a jumper

But looking at the longish weather forecast, it should be lovely over Christmas :D

I was working out in the sticks in Saudi when Christmas came around. Wall to wall blue sky, temps in the 30s and more sand than you could imagine.

We were mostly Brtis, Yanks and Filipinos and our mess hall/lounge was away from the few Saudis so we decorated it - tree, Santa, pressies, the lot.

A few days before Christmas the boss, Colonel Al-Something, turned up "to see how we were doing". He took one look at the lounge, shouted something at his adj and stormed out.

About an hour later a flatbed truck turned up and a load of boxes were brought into the lounge. From somewhere "The Boss" had found cans of lager and bottles of whisky, vodka.....

It is not the weather that makes Christmas, it is the spirit of the thing. :D

Kaz, when we were in Orlando in November a couple of years ago Disney was all decked out for Christmas. It was pretty surreal to be walking around in shorts and t-shirts in hot sunshine and seeing the decorations and huge trees.

When I was out running today, again I was struck with the oddness of blazing sunshine and our town being decked out for crimbo. 8-)

There's a beautiful Nativity scene in the plaza.

I'll be going out over the weekend with my camera. :D :D
