What a morning

Postby JanB » 09 Jul 2025, 14:50

Parked outside Nelson's, for Grumpy to go in and get two huge bags of compost and have a word about the flow meter for the pool, whilst I went up - and it is very much up - to the post office.

Asked him to pop into see Mario, at the hardware shop, to see if he can do us a spare key for the Honda.

Got back to find one bag of compost in the car  as he thought that would be enough  And yes, Marco can cut the key, but I'd not left him enough money.

So I go in and get the key cut. Check it out to make sure the key worked and the car wouldn't start  Tried the usual key and that wouldn't work either

To be honest, it has been playing up a little over the last few weeks.

Rang Mario, he was extremely busy that morning, but if we leave the key with Nelson, Rogerio (his son) will sort it out this afternoon. Sounds something electrical.

That's fine

How do we get home?

Rang Lynda and she and Sharon came along and took us home :Hi:

Had a quick breakfast then back into Ourique to do the shopping. Went to get the prescriptions and I had left my phone on charge, so no prescriptions

Just waiting now for a phone call, if we can pick it up today or whenever

Just had a phone call from the garage.

They've checked everything over and can't find anything wrong

Pick it up whenever and no charge. Which is very kind of them :D

My old Ford Galaxy used to do this. Every now and then the chip security system refused to recognise the chip.

Did it until the day it finally died and went to we buy any scrap car.
