Our little road...

is just 9 small-to-average sized houses. A couple of weeks ago we got an envelope through the door, as we have each year, from number two, collecting for Marie Curie nurses.

Today they delivered a note saying our road had donated £53. That's an awful lot for our little road isn't it :D
I have to say, that would mean each of us donated well over £5 each, and we didn't, so some have been very generous.
Always knew we had really nice neighbours :)

Of course if people give on a regular basis, monthly or whatever, it would end up being more, but it's still quite a lot as a one-off I think :)

Yes, that is a lot, very generous :) I used to work cold calling for Cancer Research, phoning people to ask them to deliver these envelopes - £53 is exceptional Di 8-)

I keep £5 by the front door for any deserving charity that calls. :)
