Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but breezy and 28C for us. Bit misty too.

Ironing to be done this morning, Grumpy will be pool boy and also car washer.

I'm picking up four friends on the way into Ourique, as I have to go past their houses, makes sense for just one of to drive and then we'll have our Christmas lunch :Hi: Patricia is going tot have the table all ready for us - sitting outside under their new awning - and I can't wait to see their faces, as they have no idea she and I have put our heads together and have the table decorated

Will meet Grumpy back at the bar afterwards.

And that's the day taken care of :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, after a chilly day yesterday, today feels a bit warmer and there’s hazy sunshine with possible rain later. I’m on a mission to do some house cleaning and a bit of ironing - I did a big pile yesterday but there is a duvet cover and pillow cases still to be done and some holiday stuff. Edward has gone to play golf, I’m hoping I can prevail on him to wash the floors tomorrow. I can never quite understand the urge to clean the house before we go away, but an urge to clean doesn’t come on me too often :D I have a very sore wrist, not sure if it is arthritis or something else. I’m wearing a support on it this week hoping it will ease a bit before we go on Monday. It’s amazing the reaction of people when they see you wearing the support - yesterday even the lovely Dominik who delivers for DPD said (in his nice accent) “Rosemary, what have you done to your wrist”. Right, the house won’t clean itself however much I wish it would, must get moving.

Morning all :D

Sunny 8-)

We had a lovely day yesterday, the harbour is looking wonderful, I put a few piccies on Fb. Today there's a Marines Parade and Air Display down there. A lot of the cafes along the waterfront are opening around 5.30ish tomorrow morning offering bacon sarnies for those going down to watch the little ships set off. I thought it was celebrated every 10yrs, but apparently it's every 5yrs. The last festival was cancelled because of covid.

Nothing much happening today, expecting a Sainsbury's delivery later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a sunny and warm one.

I’ve walked George and been to town, been chatting to Joe since I got back. He’s leaving for East Midlands Airport with his mate Ryan shortly for a flight to Valencia, they’ve got an overnight stop in Valencia and then an early flight to Bilbao for the Europa final tomorrow night. They’re ticketless, like so many others who’ve gone over. He did ask me before they booked if I wanted to go too but it’s too difficult with George, it’d mean John taking four days off work as they don’t fly back until Friday. That was the cheapest way of doing it, they actually booked the trip before the quarter finals because they got it at a bargain price and if the team crashed out they wouldn’t lose very much money if they didn’t go.

My Dad had a fall last night and had to get his head stitched. We keep telling him that he’s got to remember that he’s 92 and can’t do the things he used to do but he doesn’t take any notice and just carries on doing what he shouldn’t. Again he was out gardening, last week he told me he’d jetwashed the paving front and back and the drive and the week before he’d taken a shrub which had outgrown the border in the back garden and replanted it in the wide border in the front garden. He fell a couple of weeks ago while cutting the lawn, he was cutting it on the Sunday because he couldn’t wait until Tuesday which was when Roger said he’d cut it for him! It’s not as if he does things because he doesn’t like to ask for help, he’s got no qualms at all about doing that, he’s just impatient and knows that we can’t immediately rush around and do these jobs as soon as he asks.

Anyway, there are jobs to be done so have a lovely rest of the day all :)

Got a ticking of from the dentist as he said I had a lot of tarterb on my teeth. He also puit another filling on one tooth so that it is now even with the othet teth.
Part of the tooth had broken off.
No extra charge as I go privately.

Had to wait about 20 minutes to have my hair cut. It is two ladies who do both men and ladies hair. The one who does mine only uses sciccors.
If I went to oneof the many Turkish barbers they would only use electric clippers.

Osc, I too have a pile of ironing. But it can wait till tomrow.

Evening everyone :)

It's been another beautiful day here :) I nipped into town for a few bits, then walked up to meet Mick in the Quays for breakfast. Round to see D after that. Since getting home I've done a big pile of ironing, including the new duvet set I bought yesterday in IKEA. That had dried nicely on the line, and is now on our bed! Becky and I gave Daisy another walk after she got home from work - it had cooled down nicely by then 8-)

Osc, I'm the same before we go away :? xx

Jo, I hope your dad soon feels better. We're starting to have the same issues with D, who will be 90 next year! She will crack on and do jobs that Mick and I have already promised to do, before we get a chance :? xx

Jen that all sounds lovely :) .xx

Love to all :D xx

We had such a lovely lunch and the table decorations were a lovely surprise for them all.

Patricia did us proud, with a lovey starter board of presunto, a couple of deep fried rissoles, one meat, the other fish, olives, two different cheeses, olives, bread and two very different dips. One was tuna and the other one, I ate the lot  Lush, really lovely.

Then our main courses, and when I asked if I could have the recipe for the dip, I was told that no, she wouldn't share. Bugger  It was Latvian member of staff who told her how to do it and I'm going to search it out :D

Met Grumpy down at the bar, along with a few friends, so all in all, a lovely day.

I've now been asked to sort out the Easter lunch
