Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 28 Apr 2025, 04:40

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 30°. 8-)

I'm meeting Ely at 9.15 for a convowalk. :cute:

I'll watch Don change the taps on the pool shower. He's great at wee jobs round the house but is usually quite vocal whilst doing them  which amuses me no end.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and everyone, happy Monday. It's a beautiful sunny start to the day.

That made me laugh Ally, I'm the same. Fine when it all goes as it should, but some choice words when it doesn't. And enjoy the ConvoWalk

Well I'm on the train to work. This week I'm trying out my usual station (West Byfleet) to see how it goes timing wise. At least it saves a bit of money, I get a seat on thr train and have time to pop onto VV.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning Ally, Ria and anybody elsewhois up.

It was 16c again when I got up. The sun is out so it should get warmer.
Enjoy your early morning train journer Ria. Do youhave breakfast before you leave home?

Heard on the radio this mrning, a man gets up at 5.00 a.m to take the dog for a walk before he has his breakfast and goes to work. He lives near Stoke.

Thia afternoon I am going to anothet meeting of the Photographic section of U3A. I am finding it very intersting and meting new people.
This morning I will just be pottering. Got a couple of phone calls to make.

Have a go day everybody.

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning and 28C for us later.

More weeding this morning and a slight change of back ache, strimming this afternoon

When Grumpy does anything manual, even if it's wood work stuff (he's a carpenter) I walk away and shut my ears

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, sun and cloud here and a noticeable increase in temperature, 14C outside. Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be going to mobility class in a while. Michael is playing in the Irish Schools All Ireland golf finals this morning representing his school. SIL brought him and has already texted that Michael had a terrific first shot. SIL says his nerves are gone  but Michael has a quiet, get on with it, way about him. SIL plans to work with his laptop in the clubhouse while waiting for him. I think Michael was just pleased to get the day off school

Back after my class to do whatever - I have a birthday card to post, and someone is coming to collect stuff I put on a Freecycle FB page. Otherwise I’ll see what occurs to me as needing to be done ;)

Afternoon all, it’s a lovely sunny day and forecast to be 21° this afternoon.

Normal service has resumed here. I’ve been for a dog walk! Albeit much later than I used to walk Bill due to Royal Mail delivering a parcel between 8 and 12 but once they’d been at 11 we were straight out, glad to say George throroughly enjoys a walk on the common

Just waiting for Amazon to bring a birthday present I ordered for John now. He was watching a Grand Tour episode on Saturday and James May had on a t shirt which says Mardy on the front and John always likes it and comments on it as JM wears it quite often, so five minutes later I’d found one online and had placed the order. I was at a loss of what to get him otherwise.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Hot and getting hotter 8-)

We had a bit of a drama first thing this morning, we woke up to a power cut. A big problem over here as aircon and fans are definitely needed in this weather. Not sure when it went off, but thank goodness it's back on now.

It's our last full day here, it's a bank holiday, Hero's Day, all the shops are closed and everybody will be celebrating. We're planning to go to Crystal Waters beach bar for lunch, they're having steel pans and food all day, it should be lots of fun, people really do know how to celebrate here 8-)

This evening we'll start the packing, we arranged a late check out so don't have to be out of the apartment till we're ready, but I'd rather get the bulk of it done so it's not a mad rush tomorrow morning.

Hope you all have a good day xx

A beautifully sunny day here :) Just the usual Monday stuff, meeting Em in town and a general mooch. Bought Mick some lightweight chinos in M&S, and collected an order. Luckily that had arrived in store before their current issues! Bought myself a summer dress in Peacocks 8-) Greek salad for dinner, with salmon for Mick and chicken for me ;) xx

Love to all xxx
