A Moth!!!!

Oh no! A moth flew out of my wardrobe!! No such thing as one moth! Now in a panic! They eat wool, silk and cotton!

I've blitzed my vacuum cleaner 'cos I read I've probably vacuumed up the eggs and they will get born inside it! Horrors!

I emptied the vacuum in the garden with a teacloth round my face, a hat, yellow marigolds and a mac! Looked like a terrorist. Then three moths flew out

Researched on Google and found good reviews for a product to put in the wardrobes that deters them! Ordered Express Delivery!

I am in a state of devastation! Rather have Slow Worms as at least they don't eat my clothes

Maybe get a pheromone trap to catch any fluttering around.
Hope they haven't eaten anything.

Coincidences!

I was in Primark yesterday and the camphor-like smell (moth balls) was overwhelming. It fair put me off.

I don't know if camphor is used now, but I wouldn't anyway, it is disgusting. The new repellent on the block is Cedarwood - much more pleasant.

We suddenly seem to have a lot of moths in the house recently - don't know where they are or where they have come from, but I am forever killing them. But this is an old house and they could be anywhere, they don't seem to be eating clothing.....yet  Couldn't bear to use camphor, that smell is terrible.

I hope you manage to deal with them before they do any damage Fugi :?

Dare I ask, have the slow worms visited recently? :?

Like living in the jungle here with this invasion of wild-life! The stuff I bought for the moths is supposed to smell of lavender.

Moth eggs look like a grain of rice!

I think I'll make a pet of the next Slow Worm! Maybe they eat moths?

I can lend you two of my cats, Ava and Harry? They love chasing after anything that flies. Just not guaranteeing the state of your clothing once they've tried to climb up the wardrobe to get at the offending moths though ;)

I thought Cedar was meant to help against moths as well - http://www.lakeland.co.uk/22267/30-Piece-Cedar-Wood-Set - maybe try this as well?

I use cedar coathangers for our good coats, and have cedarwood balls on the shelves in the wardrobe :) Have done that ever since the moths made a good meal of Mick's very expensive wool overcoat :o

I've never had a problem with moths eating clothing. I figure it's either our housing, or we don't have that variety if moth. Moth balls are nearly impossibly to find
