Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 13 Mar 2025, 07:52

Good morning.

We have rain. :cute: Very welcome and quite mild at 18°.

As it's not due to stop until late afternoon I'm at home and will do some baking.
Lemon drizzle cake and rock buns are on the menu. :D

TV tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We have had rain and expecting more. Now fed up with it all.

My laundry basket is stuffed to over flowing and although I can do some washing, it takes a couple of days to dry. But dry tomorrow, so will take advantage of that.

I'm also doing some baking today, cheese and ham twists, for tomorrows coffee morning. As long as they turn out okay ;)

Expecting Steve to come up, as we've been without tv programmes - again

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Only 12Chen I got up. We have had some rain but the sun is out but there are still some grey clouds.

A cheese and ham twist follwed by a slice of lemon drizzle cake would be lovely for my lumch. Will be having smkoed salmon and tomatoes.

Have been to pick up the form as I am having another blood test next week. Th sutrgery opens at 8.00 a.m but the car park soon gets full
Will only be pootlng this morning. The gas engineer is coming this after noon to service the boiler. This is re-arranged from Monday.

Hello and good morning all

Ally, enjoy the baking. I enjoy it when I do, but because I can't eat a whole cake on my own, and don't have many people to bake for, it's not something I do often.
Jan, fingers crossed for dry weather tomorrow and good luck with those twists. Do you make your own pastry or can you get ready made over there?
Cruiser, I agree with you - ham and cheese twist followed by lemon drizzle definitely sounds very appealing for lunch! Enjoy the pootle and good luck with the boiler service

A very dull and nippy day today; I miss the sunshine we had last week. The usual computer time in the morning for me but this afternoon I'll be at Karl and Nadine's again - the boiler engineer is coming back to repair their boiler; they've been without since Monday evening. Thank goodness they have a fireplace downstairs which has helped keep the house warm, and when they built their extension Karl installed an electric shower to have as back up if the boiler wasn't working - just as well. Depending on when the engineer arrives I might stay on for dinner or I'll come home and have a lazy evening here.

Have a lovely day all

Morning all, it’s bright enough here but extremely cold, only 3.5c outside. We’ll do some dance practice this morning, we want to teach ourselves a particular new dance before we go to Blackpool next month, and keep all the others refreshed. Kellie will be here after school and Michael is coming for dinner. Miss Osc is very excited, after years of entering the ballot for Wimbledon tickets every year, her name finally came out of the hat and she and SIL are going on 30th June - so we’ll probably have visitors that night ;) They actually went there during the London Olympics, but “real” Wimbledon is different.

Morning all :D

One minute sunny, the next rain :?

Millie my hairdresser got a bit scissor happy yesterday, my hair is a bit shorter than I intended, but probably just as well, I usually give up with it anyway, it's difficult to control it over there

Bits and bobs today, my main mission is to sort the trackers I bought for our cases. I did have a go yesterday, but gave up, will have another go today and if I can't work it out I'll just have to pop over to the phone shop for help.

Hope you all have a good day xx

No Ria, my hands get too hot, so I buy a roll of it.

When it rains here, it really rains  Almost an inch in about an hour and the sky was black

Sunny now

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally they sound delicious - lemon drizzle is my favourite xx

Cheese twists sound good too Jan :) xx

Hope the boiler service goes well Cruiser xx

I hope K and N's boiler can be easily fixed Ria xx

That's nice news about the tickets Osc :) xx

Jen, my hair grows quicker in warm weather so that may be just as well ;) xx

It's a sunny day here, but our mood is overcast as Fraggle is not doing very well. His sugar levels are all over the place, despite the insulin, he's not sleeping at night, and we might be having to make a difficult decision soon. There were tears this morning, from the three of us to be honest..........Not going to Pilates as I'm just too tired, and Mick has cancelled his opticians appointment and gone back to bed.

Love to all xxx

Well, trying to twist filled pastry didn't work, so I tried my best and then left the rest to bake. I'll slice it up once it's cool. Tasty though ;)
