Cloudy sunshine and 20°.

Meeting Ely at 9 for our convowalk. Her English has improved incredibly and she was saying last Monday how confident she now feels.

We're going over to Jacob's and he's taking us out for lunch.
It'll be lovely to see him and hear all about their Irish trip.

We'll get food shopping on the way home.

TV tonight including the final of Only Connect and the excellent Virdee. We resisted binge watching it as I wanted to make it last.

Mist on it's way, sun coming through and more showers forecast.

Yesterday was a lovely, warm day, until a thunderstorm turned up and we got a little wet, it came down so quickly Sat in the back terrace, nicely covered up, with the heaters on and watched the rain. And very impressive lightening

I'll attempt some washing today and hope it dries before the rain comes.

Kaz, I just saw your update on the Sunday thread about Abba Voyage. It really is just beyond amazing, isn't it. Not cheap, but I'd happily pay that money again and see it all over again; it's just brilliant


Weekend here was good.... I was meant to go to the allotment both Saturday and Sunday given the amazing weather, but Saturday ended up quite different than planned. Karl and Nadine asked if I wanted to join them for an early morning Ikea run, which I did.... usually the journey there / back is about 40 mins from their house and we should have been home just after midday, but we didn't realise the onramp back onto the motorway for the way home was closed; result was the return journey took just under 3 and a half hours! We got home a bit after 3pm and by then I wasn't in the mood for the allotment anymore; so we ended up having the first BBQ of the year instead. But yesterday I got there and spent just under 4 hours outside digging around; bliss.

Today is another lovely sunny, but cold, winter day so I'll be doing the usual online stuff; a quick dash to Sainsbury's and then I'll aim to spend a few hours this afternoon outside again; might as well make the most of the weather whilst I can.

Ria it’s really extraordinary isn’t it? I don’t know what it cost as it was a gift from B, but I gather it’s quite pricey. I would very happily go again, although my Pilates friends want to book for the Mama Mia The Party one, so I’m probably going to that later in the year xx

Morning all, cloud and sun here and only 8c outside. Still the mornings are getting brighter, the evenings are getting longer, all good. Mobility class this morning and then stuff to do around the house later. Edward has gone to play golf.

Ally, I find Virdee very dark and depressing and refuse to watch it just before bedtime. It would certainly put me off ever visiting Bradford!!

I used to occasionally go to Bradford for my job Osc; it doesn't take Virdi to put me off going there.

Osc and Crommers, our eldest lived in Bradford for a couple of years way back, I always enjoyed visiting her, not so sure about living there though.

Kaz I'd love to see Abba Voyage and now I'm walking better would like to see it later this year. The only thing putting me off is I read the audience tend to stand throughout, that really wouldn't work for me. Are there areas in the theatre for those needing to sit for most of the show?

M, our eldest, and family are off to Lanzarote today. They'll be celebrating her 60th birthday on the 8th while they're there. Think there are 10 of them altogether.

Ed did a great job tidying the garden yesterday, but I hardly got anything done in the spare bedroom Really need to get more done today. Expecting a Tesco delivery some time between 3-4pm, well that's the booked timeslot, but in reality they can be here anytime after 2pm so we won't be going anywhere today.

100% yes Jen - the area is divided into two, the open standing area in front of the stage, which makes up about 1/3 of the space, and then the rest is all seated. And the display on stage is actually really big so you'd definitely see plenty. And when I went end last year, the seated audience actually remained seated for most of it; some songs got everyone up and dancing, but definitely not all the way through
