Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 23°. 8-)

I'll go for my walk soon. :D

We're off to Dealz as I want to stock up on some goodies.

Food shopping on the way home.

Jacob and Inma are having a fantastic time in Ireland.
They flew into Belfast last Friday and because they've hired a car they're getting around.
Today it's Galway and heading to Dublin tomorrow afternoon for a couple of days. :D

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.

It was only 12C when I got up. There was ice n the car windows when I went for the paper. Some grey clouds with a few blue patches.

Going for some food shopping at Tesco this mrning. I have a voucher for £3.50 to use there.

Back home will mop the kitchen floor and do some dusting.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning Tuesday

Postby Weka » 25 Feb 2025, 10:06

Good night everyone, it was a busy day here today. Got to work at 7am only to find out that they were doing staff photos, thank goodness I had decided to actually put a bit of effort into my appearance today so I was prepared.
The kids have now started teaching music so they both had students after school today.
This weekend is the annual pilgrimage to Kawau so I’ve started packing for that and then to finish the day off, I’ve just got back from concert band practice.
And now it’s time for bed. Phew
Everything happens for a reason

Morning everyone

Wet :Hi: And will be, off and on, for the rest of the week. Mild at 20C, chilly at night, down to 3C

Blimey Weka, your children have grown up. How old are they now? Oliver about 14/15?

No point getting up earlier, chucking it down. No tv, as that is still playing up. Steve is bring the big guns up later, George is our local super whizzy tech bloke, on everything, tv, computer, you name it, he's the bloke. Shame he's moving away

I have a small amount of ironing and that's about my lot today.

Gone through a packet of tissues already this morning, hope it's not coming back

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s another nice bright one, I can put up with chilly if the sun is shining. I had stuff planned to do at home today, but I need to bring the car to the car guy as one of the brake light bulbs has gone. It’s not too far away and Edward wants me to get something in a nearby hardware shop. First I’ll change the bed and do the usual general tidy around. Edward has gone to play golf. Edward got a message earlier, we were on a waiting list for a two-night dance break Easter week, and a room has become available, so another thing added to the calendar. There was a huge bee on the floor earlier, I have no idea where he came from, but a glass and paper helped him outside, he sat in the sun on the windowsill for a while but has gone now.

Ally, those photos you sent me yesterday of Jacob and Imma were great, and it seems they are getting some good weather. Galway is a lovely city and I hope they enjoy Dublin - where are they staying in Dublin?

Hello and good morning everyone

Ally, I went to Ireland with my mom many (and I mean MANY) years ago and the little bit we saw was beautiful. Definitely somewhere to go again and see more of the coastline.
Cruiser, the overnight temperatures really have dropped again haven't they, but at least the days seems to be staying closer to double figures
Weka, I'm with Jan on this one - crikey the kids have grown up! 7am is an early work start - is that normal over there?
Jan, fingers crossed your cold isn't coming back; and good luck with the TV - hope you get that sorted.

A rather dull day here today; yesterday the forecast was sunny weather, but it would seem the skies have other ideas :D :D :D So just a pootle type day today. Nadine and I are meeting up with friends for dinner this evening (at another friends house), it'll be nice to catch up with them. Thinking of baking a cake to take with me but not sure yet.

Have a lovely day all x

Afternoon all, it’s a bright and breezy day.

I went into Stafford this morning, I’d planned to go and then had a notification last night that DPD were delivering some new suitcases, I’d expected Amazon to deliver them and knew they come later in the day so thought I’d be okay going this morning but they’d obviously passed them onto DPD and I had no idea what time they’d deliver. We only try to take hand luggage and the cases we had were slightly too big. Anyway I had a notification just before 10 that they’d be here this afternoon so I managed to run out and get the next bus.

We’re going over to see Tom tonight, hopefully he’ll have some nice biscuits

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally those photos were amazing, so happy they're enjoying themselves. Funnily enough, Mick and I were saying the other day that we must make a trip to Ireland some day. Mick has very happy memories (hic!) of rugby tours there, but I have never been. Seeing as my DNA testing threw up 34% Irish I really ought to ;) xx

Good idea to use your voucher Cruiser 8-) xx

Gosh Weka, they're teaching? How old are your two now?. :D xx

Hate to say it Jan, but the cough/cold virus going round here is a flipping boomerang :? xx

Osc I prefer the cold and bright weather too. That break sounds nice :) xx

Enjoy dinner out Ria! Did you end up baking a cake, and if so what kind?.Mick and I were anticipating a slice of D's delicious apple cake today - I helped her mix one on Friday as J and J were coming. Sadly Jeff had taken what was left home with him! :cute:   xx

Saundra, the extra light makes a big difference, doesn't it? :) xx

The garden will keep Jen, best to stay in the dry ;) xx

Nice biscuits are definitely called for, Jo :)

We went out a bit earlier than usual to have breakfast, as we had to get for Fraggle's get appointment at 11.30. I will update about him on his separate thread. We nipped to Tesco after that, to pick up some lunch to take round to D's. Home now.

Love to all :) xx
