Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 15 Feb 2025, 08:23

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 23°. 8-)

As I type I've got friends on a flight from Glasgow coming over for a city break. They're going to love the weather. :D

Yesterday out at lunch it was reading 30°. :P
We were sitting out there for about three hours and the upshot is the right side of my face, right arm and leg are rather a lot browner than the left.
Twenty two years and the sun still catches me out.

After my walk I plan to be sitting in the garden sorting out my left hand side colour tone.

TV tonight and a Chinese takeaway.

Have a great day.

Only 12C when I got up. There are grey clouds but no rain.

Am expecting a phome call this morning. Will then just be pootling.

Ally, Ilike the two tone sunburn. A good disguise.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Cold

We were up at silly o'clock to do the M&S trolley dash. Last week it was quite busy, but today nice and quiet. Hardly any cars on the road and only one other person going through the only check out open. Definitely worth making the effort 8-)

My sister's been putting some fabulous photo's of New Zealand on Fb, it looks amazing. I'm so pleased for her, it's taken a while for her to pluck up the courage to travel again.

The washing's on a day late so more than enough to keep me busy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Raining again here, our winters now seem to be just permanently grey and wet  We’re in Portivo’s having breakfast - just us and the dogs, as B is at her dad’s. She bought him tickets to a Genesis tribute band for Christmas, and they’re going to it tonight. Will be round at D’s in a while.

Have a good day everyone xx

Morning all, it’s a grey drizzly day and the outside temperature is only 6c, it’s well past time for things to start warming up. On our drive home from Westport yesterday, quite near to home we noticed a lovely bank of early daffodils, they were so bright and cheerful. Feeling rather tired today and I’ll need to do some stretching to work out the stiffness mostly caused by the long drive home yesterday. Second load in the washing machine and I’ll hand wash some bits. I might also think about renewing my passport online. The guy playing the music at Thursday night’s dance gave Edward a cd (what are they??) and he has been busy sorting out how to download it so he can use it when playing his piano, this involved getting his old laptop out of the attic, downloading on to that and then on to a memory stick. Today is the 30th anniversary of the time English fans rioted at an Ireland -v- England match in Dublin, Edward and Miss Osc were there. No mobile phones then, it was very scary watching it happen live on tv and although I knew he would make sure they would be ok, I didn’t relax until they were safely home.

Afternoon all, it’s cold and raining so I don’t think we’ll be going far today.

Joe’s at Jade’s, he’s back tomorrow morning, and Tom’s coming over later and is staying tonight. I need to message him to see if he’s here for dinner. I’m sure he will be if I ask because he never turns down a free meal

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon everyone.

The thick fog is now lifting but the street lights are still ON! They are all on light sensors nowadays and they decide when it is light enough to turn them off.

I have a young couple coming round to look at some of the camping gear I put on Freecycle so hopefully I will be able to shift some of it. Anything that is left I will take to the council recycle shop.

And that's about it. Stay safe and warm everyone.
