Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cold and frosty start. But the sun is out and we should reach the dizzy height of 16C. It was actually 19C yesterday and I even took my jumper off, sitting outside :D

General pootling outside today then meeting friends down at the bar.

Happy Birthday to H :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone.

It is foggy, damp, dark and cold. The CH and lights are on.

Kaz, Happy Birthday to H, how time flies! I also hope that 'cheeky face'
Fraggle is on the mend. xx

Well, it's Saturday so I have loaded the car with one mini oven, a printer, four demi-john wine brewing bottles, two smaller ones, a DECT phone, a car battery charger, a foot pump and an under-sink pedestal cupboard, all for the recycling hub, unfortunately it is closed till Monday,

I have also put two tents, a rucksack and other camping and hiking stuff on Freecycle.

There will be so much more space in the flat once it has all gone. :Hi:

Stay safe and warm everybody.

Morning all, it’s cloudy here and outside temperature is 6c. I was so delighted to turn the calendar over to February, that sure was a long, tedious January. I thought I was having a very quiet day but no! This morning I need to get petrol and collect some cleaning. Getting my nails done at 2pm, they have had a month’s rest from BIAB, that’s enough! Later in the afternoon I’ll be collecting Kellie from her dance class and delivering her to her school - tonight the school choir is singing at this https://peaceproms.com/. Miss Osc, SIL and Michael will be going into town early to watch today’s rugby match somewhere before going on to the concert. A bus will bring the choir to the venue. School choirs from all over the island will be taking part, 2,000 children this afternoon and another 2,000 tonight. She is very excited about it. She is a child who throws herself wholeheartedly into everything she does and her enthusiasm would do your heart good.

Morning all :D

Nice and bright here.

The peace prom is a lovely thing to be a part of Osc, no wonder Kellie's excited.

We were up and out at silly o'clock this morning ready for the M&S trolley dash. Took a little longer as we had some orders to pick up plus one item to return. Tbh they are very quick with it all these days. Ed's already checked his bits and changed his mind :? Never mind, I've already ordered the replacements so will do a swap early next week.

Not much planned for today, all the washing's done so methinks a lazy day beckons.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Change of plan.

The clouds have come out, the wind has picked up, we're staying put, with the fire lit already :D

Afternoon all, it’s a dull day.

Tom stayed last night as his car was in for it’s MOT this morning, it passed thankfully. I think he’d already been preparing us for it to fail by saying how little money he has this month!

Joe’s gone to Jade’s and then this afternoon they’re heading to Shropshire to walk up the Wrekin.

We’re off to a chocolate shop shortly. There’s a lovely independent one a couple of miles away and I want to get Tom something from there for his birthday. They have a huge selection, around 60, so you choose what you want for in a box. We were bought some for Christmas and they were absolutely beautiful, and John actually has a voucher to spend in there :P

I have cash thankfully, enough for that anyway. My card was declined in two shops last night thanks to Barclays and their complete system failure. I left the one purchase as it was only small but used my emergency credit card in Aldi. The poor lady on the self service tills had a trolley filled to the top with items that people had to leave as they had no other means of paying. You’d have thought that they’d have put a large notice on the door warning customers that Barclays debit cards couldn’t be used before they started shopping though.

Happy birthday to Harry!

Have a good day all :D

Jo, I no longer carry debit or credit cards, well, I do not have a credit card so that's no problem.

What I do have is a pre-pay card that I transfer money to from Debit when at home and once it runs out that's it. It holds no sort code nor account number so it is very secure.

However. I always have £20 to £30 in notes, plus a few coins, just in case.
