Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 31 Jan 2025, 06:59

Good morning.

Where on earth has January gone?! It has flown in!

A lovely sunny and warm day again. 8-)

My usual walk shortly. :)

Painting my nails the scrummy shade Double Decker Red.

Need to watch last night's GB Menu as it clashed with Dragons Den.

Friday beers and tapas tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Fraggle and Kaz...lots of love. xxx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

A cold start, although the sun is out, we-re in for a couple of cold cays and quite a few cold nights. Only 15C for us.

That man and his machine were up early again, lights like a Christmas tree

Cleaning for me this morning and make a curry for tomorrow. It is stew and curry weather.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anybody else who is up.

Still only 12C when I got up. There has been rain and there are still grey clouds.

Going to Chorley this morning. I willbuy some furniture polish. There is a good shop y could call it an ironmongers, but they also sell other items. Still privately owned.
You can buy two scews if that is all you want. Not like B & Q where you have to buy a packet of 50 or 100.

Back ome it will just be pootling.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning everyone.

It is foggy and miserable, a day for staying in.

I am going to attack the kitchen cupboards and drawers and it frightens me. I have loads of impulse-buy gadgets and gizmos to get rid of. You know the things: "oh, that'll come in handy!" but they never do. Then there are the bottles, jars and tins with 'best before' dates in the 20teens. I might discover some new life forms in there...

Have a good one everybody.

Morning all, it’s grey and drizzly.

I’m waiting for the Tesco delivery. Joe’s working from home today and is in a meeting so I’ve been waiting for DHL to collect a work parcel for him too, he often brings something home on a Thursday for them to collect the following morning.

Need to take a trip to Jysk tonight, it’s only on a retail park the other side of Cannock. It’s Tom’s birthday next weekend and I know he’s been eyeing up a mirror for in his hall. Only problems are that the mirror is big, the retail park isn’t served by any buses and the shop closes at 6 every day apart from Friday when it’s 7. Could go tomorrow but he’s here and if we say we’re popping out he’ll get his coat. Can’t go Sunday because I’m at a match.

Sending lots of vibes to Fraggle today and a great big hug for Kaz xx

Cruiser, there’s a shop just like that down the road from my Dad’s house. Been there for years, absolutely brilliant shop.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny here but only 4 degrees outside. It’s the last day of January, hurray! Unlike Ally, for me the month has felt like three months, so I’m glad to see the end of it. Mobility class this morning and we’ll go dancing tonight. Edward is not playing golf, the clubhouse is still closed after a tree fell on their main power line, so he and his pal decided not to bother. He is doing some batch cooking today, a lentil chilli and whatever else he thinks of. Just need to make the bed before I go out.

Osc, I feel the same. I know it always drags but this has felt like the longest January ever!

Festivities carry on in Spain though don’t they?
Here it’s been wet, grey and stormy for much of the month.

Morning all :D

Wet

Just as well we went shopping yesterday, the weather was lovely all day. Managed to get most of the things on the list, but had to order a couple of items online, our M&S didn't have them in store. We'll pick them up tomorrow when we do our usual trolley dash.

Usual Friday wash day, the first load is about to finish, only a couple more to go.

Hope you all have a good day xx
