Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 29 Jan 2025, 06:36

Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 21°. 8-)

My usual walk first. :)

I'm meeting a friend in town for coffee and afterwards get a few bits from Mercadona.

Don will be watching the Celtic Villa game tonight and I'll be zoned into GB Menu.

Have a great day.

How's Grumpy doing Jan? xx

Good morning Ally and anybody elsewho is up.

It was 13C when I got up. There is a blue sky with a few grey clouds.

This morning going to the bank. I have an Isa maturing and I want the money transferred into my current account.

Then going to EE to arrange transfer of my mobile phone contract. I will get it cheaper with roaming calls as I alrady have broadband with them.

This afternoon will finish the ironing. Di some yesterday.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning everyone

Rather cloudy, which probably explains why I had no internet this morning  More rain forecast and another cool day at 16C. Although it is very pleasant when we get some sun.

I'm a lady wot lunches today :Hi: Going with the coffee morning committee ladies for our Christmas lunch. We decided on January, rather than December, as most of them were busy with family. One of my favourite restaurants and she very kindly is doing a veg dish for our two veggies. Most Portuguese restaurants don't cater for veggies or vegans.

Meeting Grumpy down at the bar afterwards.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you three and everyone, good morning

Ally, enjoy the morning in town and the rest of the day.
Cruiser, hope you get everything sorted. I can't wait for my contract to be up. I'll probably move over to EE as well as their signal here seems to be the strongest
Jan, enjoy the Christmas lunch. I totally agree that January is a lovely time to have that - December is always so busy and (here in the UK at least) I always think Christmas menu prices are so exorbitant.

It's been a lovely blue sky morning so far, but it's now clouding over and we're apparently expecting rain at some point. Not sure what today has in store, the usual morning on the laptop etc.....

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all.

Enjoy you lunches and other things.

It is blooming cold - again - but with clear blue skies and not a hint of wind.

Not much on today; well there might be later, but I'll see. What I must do over the next few days is sort out somewhere to 'display' all the stuff going on Freecycle. It is mostly camping and hiking gear that I will never use again. but hopefully someone will get good times from it.

Have a good day everyone... and keep warm. xx

Morning all, it’s mostly sunny here with lovely views out to sea but the outside temperature is only 2 degrees. Hairdresser for me this morning, cut and colour, I always enjoy getting it done. Otherwise no real plan for the day, although I need to defuzz my legs which get a bit neglected in the winter! Very proud of our SIL who got an award from the council for all the volunteer work he does with the local soccer club, including setting up an academy for girls which now has 200 members. I have a photo which I’ll pop on to the Photo Board in a while.

Vic, PLEASE, no controversies or politics on Cafe - it is a place to chat with friends, old and new. Fluffy stuff such as nail colours, what's for tea, my favourite ice cream and so on.

Put the other stuff on the news board (it'll get more replies) there's a good lad. Thanks.

Morning! It’s a lovely sunny one :D

I’ve walked to Home Bargains and back, a walk of just over 4 miles. I hung the washing on the line before I went out, I’d washed it last night so that it was ready to go out first thing having seen the forecast.

Not much else planned for the day, might start a jigsaw.

Have a good day all :D

FYI Frank (cos I know you’ll be interested) I’ve found the perfect combination for stopping my nail polish chipping or wearing off after a day. A coat of Essie Minimally Modest followed by, once dry of course, a coat of Essie Pink Tint Glow and Shine.
It lasts a week!
