Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 26 Jan 2025, 06:01

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 21°.
The last three days have been really warm it's been like Spring. :)

Yesterday went really well. Yes, it was sad but it celebrated a long life well lived and loved.
It was also nice to meet most of Lucia's family that Conor has been a part of for years.

After today's walk I've got a load of lemons to squeeze and freeze the juice. :D

We've got a chicken to bung in the oven with salad and spicy wedges. :P

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning everyone.

It is grey and damp and with it only being 0 °C we have had an air frost, so cars need scraping.

There is a farmers' market today - last Sunday of every month - so I will give that a go. The veg lasts forever so it is worth spending a bit more and stocking up. No plastic to be seen as it all comes in its own "clothes". ;)

I have to change the bed and the old bedding to wash, but that's about it. Oh, no it isn't, I am still clearing out drawers and cupboards. I will put some ads on Freecycle as I cannot be bothered with Vinted etc.

Have a good one everybody and stay warm.

Morning everyone

High cloud this morning and it was a little colder last night.

I've spent ages looking for some fresh coverings for Grumpy's wounds and don't have anything suitable, so that means we're heading to the Centro de Saude this morning, so they can dress it properly. I really must up-date our medical stuff.

Might get some washing out of the way this morning, other than that, not a lot going on.

We're having roast chicken too :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, and it is a miserable one as Storm Herminia has arrived. The wind must be from a slightly different direction as we’re much more aware of it than we were during Eowyn. It’s raining too so we won’t be going anywhere. My jigsaw is almost finished, I will probably work on that and I have just a couple of chapters left in my book (Frankie by Graham Norton). Just the usual tidy around to do first.

Good afternoon everyone.
Very cold here, it's raw.
We have been to drop some clothes off at a local recycle event (must be the season for it) and now we too, have chicken for dinner!
WM, there's a lot of recycling / freecycling goods around here too. It's a good thing.
Vic, which came first, the chicken or the egg on toast?!
Jan, we need to look at our medical stuff too. I hope Grumpy is healing well.
You wouldn't need a fridge to freeze your lemon juice here Ally.
Cruiser I like liver but MrsC doesn't. So I don't get it much.
Osc, I suppose your storm will be paying us a visit soon. I wonder when we started naming storms? It used to be that the weather was just going to be very windy.
Not much happening here either Jen. We will be watching the footy if there's any on.
Have a good one everybody.

All nicely healing, thank you Crommers.

The nurse just cleaned both wounds, covered up the one on his shoulder, but left the one on his face open. He has 11 stitches again and I'm to put some stuff on it, twice a day.
