Morning everyone

Bit misty this morning and another dry day - well, the forecast says dry and 18C.

The patient had a good five hours kip and is now dosed up with the first of his tablets. A little pain, more discomfort.

So he'll have a lazy day, I'll head into Ourique and get the meds needed and then do the cleaning.

Fish and chips for dinner :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning JanB and anybody else who is up.

Hope the patientbehaves himself and soon gets back to normal.

It as only 12C when I gotup and W I N D Y . Seveal of the signs and barriers bat road works near me had been blown about. One was even in the main road.

The wind here is not as strong as forecast. But I held onto the car door when I opened and closed it. I have sen car doors being blown and damaging the hinges.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s bright but extremely windy here although I think our red has been downgraded to orange. I actually had the best sleep I’ve had in almost a week, slept until just after 7.30am. At some stage during the night I was vaguely aware of a can or something skittering down the street. It’s like Christmas Day here, no public transport, everywhere closed and very few cars on the road. It is sort of interesting looking at the sea, normally flows/blows east to west as that is the prevailing wind and waves would be crashing over the pier. However this wind is blowing west to east so no waves breaking on the pier. My mobility class is on Zoom this morning and there is no dancing tonight. Edward is about to make a banana cake. No doubt I’ll do more of my jigsaw later on, it is a bit weird seeing our own faces emerging!

Hello you three and everyone; good morning and happy Friday

Jan, I also hope Grumpy feels better soon - probably more for your sake than his      But seriously, hope he's back up on his feet and fighting fit very soon x
Cruiser, hope you don't have to go out again today and agree re holding on to car doors.
Kaz, not sure how windy it was overnight; I didn't hear anything :D , but it's a bit breezy at the moment still, but should be calming down soon. We are expecting a dry day apparently, so fingers crossed. Hope SW goes well!
Osc, glad to read things aren't as bad as originally feared. But still good to stay indoors and keep warm ;-) Enjoy that banana bread!

The usual morning for me: online bits and bobs, tidying a few things, a quick dash to Sainsbury's (run out of cat food  :? ), and then spending the afternoon with Karl and Nadine and the kids

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Rain overnight, bright now, but windy.

Jan glad all went well yesterday, hope Grumpy soon feels more himself.
Cruiser sensible to be cautious, stay safe.
Kaz good luck at SW.
Osc glad the wind isn't as bad as forecast. Banana cake, yummy.
Ria enjoy the afternoon with Karl, Nadine and the kids.

Another Friday, the bed's stripped and the sheets are in the washing machine. Only 3 more loads to go. Actually there's more, but it's just holiday stuff which needs a quick freshen up wash so that can be done in batches over the next week or so.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s sunny but very breezy.

When my Dad was here on Christmas Day he happened to see the blanket I crocheted for Joe and started hinting that he’d like one. I offered and he asked how long they take to do. I said about a month.
Well…that month is almost up so he’s started asking if it’s nearly done.
I only managed to get to the wool shop last week so no, it’s not nearly done but I have made a start this week along with making plans and booking things for our holiday. Still playing catch up after that virus I had.

Joe’s working at home today. He’s in the office and in between meetings he was looking in the photo albums, which are stored in there, for a specific photo from when he was 5 to show Jade but reckoned he’d looked in each album (there are so many) and it wasn’t in any of them.
Second album I looked in and there it was

The Tesco order has been and it’s all been put away, now just waiting for the wind to calm down so I can go for a walk. I’ve got some leftover bread for the birds but I don’t fancy walking through the woods while it’s really windy

Have a good day all :)

Good afternoon.
Bright here and windy but it seems to be easing a little; we certainly haven't had the really bad gales that others have suffered.
We have been to do the shopping and that's it for the day.
I have been send an invitation from our local GP practice to do a "minuteful kidney" test.
Apparently I have to download the NHS app, do the test with the kit provided, take a photo of the results and then send them the results.
I'm not really keen on this do-it-yourself NHS.
Especially as my bloods are taken four times a year, to test for exactly the same thing (liver or kidney damage).
Ho hum.
I hope Grumpy's normal sunny nature is restored soon Jan!
Have a good day everyone.
