Usual walk. :D

We're going over to Jacob's for brunch. :D

Conor's coming over late afternoon and him and Don will watch the Celtic game.
I'll plug myself into The Traitors.

Have a great day.

Goo dmorning Ally and anybodyelsewho is up.

It is only 12C and misty. I don't think there will be much sunshine today.

Am going to join U3A. My son wants to do a family tree and they have an Ancestry section. It will give somethng else to do.
A friend who lives at Lytham goes tothe Wine Tasting group. She says it is a very enjoyable evening.

Have a good day everybody

Morning everyone

Sun and clouds, with high winds, thunderstorms and rain  Mild though, at 18C.

After a rather disturbed night, thunder, rain, wind and then the cat wanting to go out  we had a little lie/in, until the chain saws started

Grumpy needs a hair cut, so I will do that after his shower.

Then we will have to let yet more water out of the pool, another two inches, so that is 6 inches of rain so far this week.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning all.

It is dull and foggy again and only 3 °C outdoors.

I have a couple of boxes of bits to go to the electrical bins at the skip - where do all the leads, plugs and chargers come from? I also have a printer, a countertop oven and some bedding to donate to some charity shop.

After that it will just be a lazy day unless I get motivated to clear out more drawers and cupboards.

Have a good day all. xx

And a dear friend :D Thanks for all the help and support on here Ally, my right-hand woman :D 8-) xxx :(

Cruiser that sounds like a great idea :) xx

That’s a lot of rain Jan! xx

Do you have to book tip runs round your way, Frank? We still have to here, they haven’t changed the rules back since covid. My friend’s daughter was turned away with a white van full of old carpet etc as she’d not specified the correct type of vehicle! Ridiculous jobsworths :cute: :x xx

How did the interview go, Ria? xx

It was an early start here, as we needed to get a wee sample from Fraggle and B wanted to try before she left for work - he has an appointment this afternoon to determine whether he has diabetes or other problems :( Becky managed it in the end, thankfully!

I’m going to town this morning to meet my friend J, nothing much else planned although I do have a couple of things that need ironing….

Have a good day everyone :) xx

No, just turn up and go to the correct skip - 1 of 9. If you go at the right time, mid morning or afternoon, you do not generally have to queue. They also have a recycle hut for older but working things - electricals, furniture etc. They get a patch test (if electrical) and there is an honesty box if anyone wants to take something away.

Morning all, it’s dull here but not too cold although it’s showing as only 4 degrees outside. My list today includes taking out some money, getting my prescriptions and cleaning the bathrooms. Might do more of my jigsaw, doing one that is a photo of us is a bit weird - I was putting together a few pieces yesterday and couldn’t figure out where they went, then I realised it was my hair  Also the process they used has given me rather a nice tan ;)

Hello and good morning all

Ally, enjoy the day with the 'boys' and enjoy Traitors. And 10 years already - wow! So huge thanks from me to you and Kaz for all you mods do, it really is appreciated
Cruiser, what is U3A? The family tree sounds like fun. My aunt (my dad's sister) did one for her side of the family and has shared quite a bit of the information as she found it - totally fascinating
Jan, you weather obviously can't make up it's mind :D . You've had a good amount of rain, nice!
Frank, I've been sorting through various drawers and cupboards, and totally agree - just where do all those cables come from!
Kaz, that's odd that you still have to book - our tips stopped that ages ago. What they have clamped down on though is who can use them; you now have to show a utility bill as proof of address and then you get a sticker you have to display in your window - no sticker = no entry. Fingers crossed for Fraggles and well done Becky for her perseverance!
Osc, that puzzle sounds like fun; did you order it yourself or were you given it as a gift? How many pieces is it?

Kaz, thanks for asking re the interview - I think it went well and I'm hoping to hear back today. Apparently there are only two of us in the running for the role so who knows. Not sure what today brings for me.... I had a WhatsApp video call with two friends this morning (we worked together back in 1997/98); one lives in Cambridge and the other in Perth (Australia) and it's always lovely to catch up with them; then I had an appointment to get my eyebrows done and now home and 'talking' to you lot ;-). I do need to head to the allotment at some point to drop off stuff for the compost bins, but besides that it'll be an indoor / computer / pootle day. It's not very nice out; cold and damp and as much as I should be outside tidying garden / working on the allotment, I'm just not in the mood right now.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Wet

I have a hair appointment this afternoon, really needs doing, it's 8 weeks since I last had it done :o We'll probably pop into Boots while we're in town, I have a list of things I need before we go away, might as well get started now. Also need to buy some cards, our son's birthday is early February, eldest daughter (shhh she'll be 60) early March and of course there's Valentines Day too. Intend to be more organised this year, mind you I say that every year and still manage to leave some things till the last minute

Elijah is 17 today, wow where did all the years go.....

Hope you all have a good day xx

Frank, that's so much more sensible! Our council really is useless :cute:

Osc, that's funny  xx

Oh fingers crossed then Ria!! U3A is, I believe, the University of the Third Age :D A group for older people 8-) xx

Got home from town about half an hour ago, it was really chilly so I didn't linger ;) xxx
