Good Morning Saturday

Postby JanB » 11 Jan 2025, 07:55

Morning everyone

Dark and foggy but it will warm up later.

A couple of friends are coming round late this morning, to take down the two now redundant dishes on the roof and put up the starlink one.

Before that, I need to run around with the vacuum and then Grumpy can mop the floors.

Down to the bar this afternoon, meeting a load of friends, some of whom have just come back from snowy parts of England, so they are enjoying the warmth here. Although we are going down to 1 and 2 later next week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Stay warm and well wrapped up Cruiser xxx

Another thick frost here this morning, although we have managed to dodge the snow here, thankfully! We’re out at Portivo’s having breakfast, the Quays and docks area look lovely in the frosty sunshine, but I’m glad to be indoors looking out at it, rather than the other way round ;) :cute:  Round to see D in a while, then home for a nice quiet afternoon :)

Stay toasty, everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s dull and damp here and the outside temperature has climbed to the dizzy heights of +6 - shorts and teeshirt so  Nothing much planned for the day although I’m sure Edward will find sport to watch. I’ll read or “try” to finish my jigsaw, I’m on the verge of giving it up to be honest, I’ve never struggled with one like this before. This evening I’ll paint my nails, I’m giving them a break from BIAB at the moment, can’t see me lasting too long though

Good morning.
I think last night was the coldest one we've had. We still have snow in our garden a week after it fell, and some aths are still very slippy.
No sign of the threatened freezing fog though, thank heavens.
I bet your friends are enjoying the warmth Jan!
We are supposed to have double digit temperatures next week, which will be nice.
MrsC will be going baby sitting this afternoon, I might nip out and try to get some fatballs for the birds.
Have a nice day everyone, stay warm.

Morning all :D

Heavy frost and sunshine

We were up and off out at silly o'clock this morning for our usual weekly M&S trolley dash. Looking out of the window it did seem a bit mad, but although the road was white and the frost was thick, it came off the car windows surprisingly easily. We were there and back in 35mins. Ed said it was actually colder when he went round for the papers yesterday morning. Have now battened down the hatches and intend to stay put for the rest of the weekend 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Slight change of plan.

We had mist rolling in and out, so the roof will be wet, so we've changed it to Friday.

Haven't even done any vacuuming - Steve is here, Tina has been up to borrow the cat box, for her sick puss cat, so out poor cat keeps legging it  She is not a people cat ;)
